All three products draw from the same balance.
What are datacenter proxies?
A datacenter proxy connects to sites through the IP of a server in a data center rather than a home internet line. Because it runs on dedicated server connections, responses are fast and each IP costs little.
Sites see this connection as a request from a server, not from a visitor at home. That makes datacenter proxies especially efficient for sites with light blocking, public sites anyone can browse, public APIs and sites you run yourself.
Datacenter proxies use the same account token and the same dollar balance as residential and static residential proxies. Inside one account you only switch the IP type to match the job, so there is nothing to manage separately per product.
Billing is per IP, so the more pages or traffic a job uses, the more cost effective it becomes. Compare the start price of each product on the proxy pricing page.
When are datacenter proxies enough, and when are residential proxies better?
If the target site does not care much about the type of IP, datacenter proxies are enough; if accurate results depend on looking like a home visitor, residential proxies are better. The most efficient order is to test with datacenter IPs first and compare the results.
| Situation | Datacenter proxies | Residential proxies |
|---|---|---|
| Public listings and public APIs | Good fit | Works, but costs more |
| Monitoring and SEO crawls of your own site | Good fit | Rarely needed |
| Sites that often show checks | Results can be uneven | Good fit |
| City level search results, local ad checks | Use for country level checks | Good fit down to city level |
| Billing basis | From $1.20 per IP | From $0.80 per GB |
You can split even a single job. Fetch open listing pages quickly with datacenter IPs and send only the pages that show checks again through residential proxies, which keeps both cost and accuracy in balance.
Why are datacenter proxies fast and cheap?
Datacenter proxies are fast and cheap because they run on high capacity server lines and IPs are easy to operate in large numbers. Requests skip home connections, so the path is short and responses come back evenly.
- Response speed: server lines mean pages load quickly with little variation.
- Price: from $1.20 per IP, so you handle many requests at low cost.
- Budgeting: cost is set by the number of IPs, which keeps heavy traffic months easy to plan.
- Parallel work: spread jobs across several IPs to run many requests at once.
In speed sensitive work, one slow response tends to push back the next task; datacenter IPs reduce that delay and shorten the whole run. The difference shows most in price checks and status checks that need tight intervals.
Larger top-ups carry larger bonuses, which lowers your effective price further. The bonus ladder is on the proxy pricing page.
In which countries can I use datacenter proxies?
Datacenter proxies are currently available in 18 countries. They cover major server hubs in North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Oceania.
- North America: United States, Canada
- Europe: United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Ireland, Finland
- Asia: Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore
- Middle East: UAE
- Africa: South Africa
- Oceania: Australia
Picking a country close to the target site's servers speeds up responses and makes it easy to check the page as shown in that country. For example, start with Germany or the Netherlands for European stores and Japan or Singapore for Asian services.
For monitoring, a setup with one IP in each country where you have many customers works well. Opening the same page from several regions such as the US, UK and Japan lets you compare regional responses at a glance.
All countries and cities, including residential coverage, are listed on the proxy country list.
What are datacenter proxies used for?
Datacenter proxies are used for jobs with many requests where the target site blocks lightly. They are the most efficient choice when you need a lot of public information quickly.
- Bulk scraping of open sites: collect public listings, articles and documents quickly.
- API data collection: fetch public API responses on a schedule, spread across several IPs.
- Uptime and website monitoring: check from several countries that your site opens and returns normal status codes.
- Loading public catalogues: pull product lists and price sheets in one go.
- SEO crawls of your own site: check broken links, titles and redirects across your whole site.
- Testing geo content: confirm each country gets the right language, currency and notices.
If you repeat the same job every day, a setup that spreads requests evenly over a few IPs is easy to manage. Connection examples for each job are in the proxy setup guide.
How do I connect to datacenter proxies?
Datacenter proxies also connect by entering your username and account token with the single gateway gate.proxyour.com:7000. HTTP and SOCKS5 are supported, and any tool with a proxy field works right away with no install.
Use the username created in the dashboard connection builder and put your account token, which starts with yp_, in the password field. The screen also shows the host:port:username:password format, http and socks5 addresses and a curl test command.
curl -x http://USERNAME:YOUR_TOKEN@gate.proxyour.com:7000 https://ipinfo.io/json
import requests
proxy = "http://USERNAME:YOUR_TOKEN@gate.proxyour.com:7000"
r = requests.get("https://ipinfo.io/json", proxies={"http": proxy, "https": proxy})
print(r.json())The same values work in Python requests, Node.js, Scrapy, Puppeteer, Playwright, Selenium, Go, PHP and n8n. Check that the country in the response matches the one you picked and you are ready. See the proxy setup guide for each tool.
How do I keep datacenter proxies from getting blocked?
To use datacenter proxies reliably over time, pace your requests, send headers similar to a normal browser and retry failed requests after a pause. Following just these three basics makes the results you get from the same IPs far more stable.
- Request pacing: add short pauses between requests so no single IP is flooded, and size concurrency to the site.
- Headers: fill in basic headers such as User-Agent and Accept-Language as a real browser would.
- Retries: on a 429 or 503 response, wait instead of repeating at once, and increase the wait each time.
- Spreading: share requests evenly across several IPs and avoid fetching the same page repeatedly in a short time.
- Caching: store pages that do not change and fetch them again only when needed.
If a particular site still gives uneven results, moving just that site to residential IPs is the quickest fix. See the differences on the residential proxy page.
Can I use datacenter and residential proxies on the same balance?
Yes. Datacenter, residential and static residential proxies all run on the same token and the same US dollar balance. You top up once and split the balance across jobs.
For example, collect public catalogues with datacenter IPs, send the few detail pages that show checks through residential IPs from $0.80 per GB, and keep long running admin access on static residential IPs from $3.00 per IP. The gateway and token are the same, so your program only changes the username.
You can top up from $20 up to $10,000 at a time, and top-ups of $100 or more add a bonus starting at +20% on a separate line. Payment is made in USDT on the TRON (TRC20) network. Usage history for everything appears in one place in the dashboard.
Jobs that need the same IP for a month are covered on the static residential proxy page.
What should I follow to use datacenter proxies properly?
Use datacenter proxies for public web data and lawful purposes, and follow the target site terms and the laws of each country. Staying within this standard keeps your IPs and jobs stable for a long time. The more requests a job sends, the more carefully you should review the rules the site owner has set before you start.
- Target public pages and public APIs.
- Adjust request speed so site operations are not burdened.
- Check robots.txt and API usage conditions first.
- Handle any personal information in collected data as the law requires.
- Use collected data only for its stated purpose and keep it only as long as needed.
Your account token is both your login and your proxy password, and the server stores only a hash of it and its last 4 characters. Keep the token somewhere safe and load it from an environment variable rather than writing it into code. Usage rules are in the terms of service.
